Ashley, a first glance seem like your typical school delinquent. He's grown a lot more tamer now after his time in Higashimori. He doesn't mind being called his full first name anymore and even introduces himself as 'Ashley' instead of 'Ash'. His demeanor highly depends on how he ranks the other in his 'social link', treating those whom his close to as treasured beings, while being completely nonchalant with strangers. He still has temper issues but is pretty mellowed down now, changed from his previous gruff self. Perhaps HHS has done him some good after all.

Contrary to popular belief, Ash does not like to fight, nor does he take pleasure watching fights happen. He will only fight for a valid reason and hates bullying to the core. As this is his first time in another country, he finds it difficult to get use to the culture and accent, prompting others to repeat their sentences if he can't catch the meaning. Ash is anti-social, preferring to lay back at the school roof tops, alone, instead of joining his bantering classmates.

Because of his past, he finds it hard to trust people and has trouble opening up, unless he has become very close to someone. In bleak situations, Ash has this strive to continue, refusing to give up and constantly tries to overcome obstacles presented to him. He is also short-tempered, getting annoyed rather easily, but prefers not to voice his discomfort, unless you really push his buttons or call him, 'Ashley'. Then, there shall be blood and many broken noses.

[H]istory
His aversion to his name stems from the numerous times he was teased and bullied. He was named, "Ashley" even before he was born, as doctors misdiagnosed his gender when his mother conceived him. And, despite many times of trying to persuade his parents to change his name, all his mother would say that, "It's a nice name for a boy." Well, it was nice if there had not been any bullying. Ash became more reserved as the bullying continued, only to be saved by his elder sister each time. It made him realize how weak he was, and he vowed to get stronger, or at least look scary enough so that people will just leave him alone. Thus, explains why he always has this gruff facade whenever he goes.

After his encounter with his own Shadow, he's trying to confront his own hidden fear of getting too attached to someone, and in turn, getting hurt from the attachments. At this point, he's more open with people and has been trying to reconcile the relationships that had been severed or damaged during his 'possession'.

[S]trengths
+ Intelligent - He may not look like it, but he does well in his grades, even if he's sleeping in class or skipping classes most of the time.
+ Fast-Learner: It doesn't take long for him to master something, but he's usually too lazy to do much though.
+ Calm, collected: Able to think clearly and come up with great solutions, even in times of danger.
+ Understanding: He's has the typical traits that a good brother or father has in understanding others.
+ Loyal: Will never flee a battle if a friend is still fighting and prefers to take the blame for his friends, unless that is very detrimental to him This is again, to a point. He's been trying to change his escapism ways and is more steadfast now
+ Observant, non-judgmental: Knows how to act or speak according to situations. He's a good person to share your problems to. He also notices things quickly, even subtle non-verbal cues.
+ Forgiving: He usually doesn't hold grudges, unless you really go too far. Or if he really hates you.
+ Sturdy: After many training and spars he had during FC fights, he's a tough guy to knock down with just strength alone

[W]eaknesses
- Mediocre stamina Stamina is no longer an issue after he started jogging regularly with friends and his sister. And mainly due to constant sparring in FC too
- Gets very emotional and reckless when his loved ones are in danger
- Inability to work in a group, unless he is comfortable with his group members
- Distrustful, secretive
- Tends to run away from problems, rather than facing them, but he's working on changing that part of him.
- Can't display true feelings or emotions properly, usually masking it with nonchalance
- Can't communicate well with people
- Bad-tempered and cusses a lot when he's angry (both in English and Portuguese)
- Will only do things if he feels like it
- Milk and other dairy products (He is lactose-intolerant)
- Acts like he's fine even though he feels like shit

[F]un [F]acts
♦ Secretly wants to become a vet.
♦ Is extremely lactose-intolerant, so anything with milk and stuff will make him camp in the toilet for a couple of hours. That includes cakes (made with butter), chocolates, milk fruit drinks, cheese-laden pizzas. He has lactase pills on him for prevention, or at least to dampen down the pain.
♦ He's very OCD about the neatness and condition of his hair. = v ="
♦ He owns a Golden Retriever (Zur), and he lives with him in his apartment; along with his younger sister, Amelia, and her American shorthair kitten, Riley.
♦ He loves to sing in the shower and when he studies. He can sing well, but he won't in front of people
♦ He's currently in a relationship with Nakao Yuuka
♦ Slightly short-sighted and wears contact lens, so most people don't realize this trait unless he wears his glasses instead.
♦ The chick keychain was given to him from Yuuka, in exchange for the cuttlefish one he gave her.
♦ The dog keychain was given to him from Eurydice, which she hand-made herself.
♦ The red earring is actually Yuuka's. They had exchanged earrings when he visited her family.
♦ His elder sister, Ellistia, is also in Japan, studying her degree (But she's currently back at home after taking a deference for a semester)
♦ His is a Pardo (A person with three different ethnicity), with European-African descent. (His father is an Afro-American - Terena mix while his mother is European Caucasian)
